How'd it get there? #2

Another long day but better. I'm happy to say that I'm in a good mood today. Tosin took the day off and spent it with me, WORKING!!! At least it was nice to have company.

Another shot from the River Thames, on a low tide, the same day as yesterdays shot. I thought I'd look for the bike that was in the river the time I put up this shot. It wasn't there but this was.

I sorta prefer the HDR shot http://alakija.shutterchance.com/photoblog/2638.htm to this post (I know I can't be lieve I just wrote that) smile

Maybe it's me but I feel that one a lot more than this smile
Jide Alakija: Hmmm...but this is a totally seperate shot. Not really to be compared to that last one. Thanks Suby.

I really like this. My first thought was of ash covered people, homes, etc in the wake of a volcano.

it's good to hear that your mood is better than yesterday. so maybe after you found all this nice things in the river i hope you'll find all my money smile .... the picture you took was with an analog camera? 'cause there are no camera settings.

cheerz buddy, keep on rocking!!! (btw.: sorry for ghana > those guys played way better than brasil!)
Jide Alakija: Thanks Dude. I'm more Brazillian than Ghanaian (my great grand father was Brazillian).

It was taken with my 10D but it's another HDR so the settings are removed in during the HDR process.

Sure it got there in the same way my friends bike ended up in Canary Wharf - got drunk after work and chucked it in for a laugh!! Men, egos and alcohol have never mixed in my humble opinion. Anyway, great shot.

Jide sorry to say this but I'm with Suby, the cycle was much better, this for me at least has no impact, I appreciate you may have wanted it low key, but I just seems flat and unispiring, this is so far removed from your normal standard, sorry....
Jide Alakija: Oh dear! I doubt you'd like tomorrow then. Thanks for dropping by. grin

I'm not so keen on this one, think it's because it has a grainy feel about it. I think the colours and tones could work if it was without the grain. It is very full in the frame though, maybe a little too tight?
Jide Alakija: Oh well you can win them all, not sure you'll like tomorrow's too.

That is an incredibly interesting photo. Before I read the explanation, I thought it was a statue or carving of some sort. Really cool!

Hmmmmm well toning and noise good, shot good, but I think theres not enough contrast ( but I think you wanted the lacking contrast look? ) I feel Levels might do biggie for this.

Very cool picture.
I love it! It could so easily be a shot of a sculpture in some modern museum. Beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful
