Al French

This shot is for Yinks!

For all the help in correcting my typos, you deserve something special dear friend.

I really don't know whether to call this my self portrait or just a portait of this lovely gentleman I met after the experience photographed in my previous posts. I initially didn't plan to do a straight head shot of this chap when I met him but I couldn't get him to pose in the way I wanted, also the light was a bit flat too. In the end I've resulted to my usual straight head shot as you can see.

Again I have run out of images and I don't think I may be posting tomorrow, let's see how my day goes, I might just make sometime to get something special for the rest of the week. Photo blogging is getting more and more difficult these days. I don't know if other photobloggers feel the same way.

That is one of the best self-portraits I've seen in a long time, Jide, and I mean that sincerely. It belongs somewhere...important. smile
Jide Alakija: Thanks Ginnie. I'll post better ones in the future.

Since the way you've shot him doesn't flatter his face much i'll take this as a self portrait. Now tuck those elbows in when you're taking a picture :p
Jide Alakija: LOL...Well if that suites you why not.
I like this, have you added blur or is it in camera?
I do find blogging time consuming but also rewarding and eductional, I guess we only put pressure on ourselvessmile
Jide Alakija: Blur I added using the "Lens Blur" fliter. Thanks Nigel.
very very good
Jide Alakija: Gracia!

Great portrait/self portrait. I like the uncompromising way you have caught him straight on. He looks a real character.
Jide Alakija: Thanks Ingrid.
Very good turned smooth picture with and an attractiveness. I like this one work!
Jide Alakija: Thanks Jose.
I am totally convinced that he enjoyed the photographic moment with the added ingredient that he was in total charge of the situation ... richard
Jide Alakija: He did...infact he wanted me to. Thanks.

Great character portrait.

I am intrigued by the "Photo blogging is getting more and more difficult these days. I don't know if other photobloggers feel the same way." Difficult to raise the energy, the site not behaving well, too busy?

I have decreased posting to weekdays only and recently because of work pressure down to Monday, Wednesday, Friday. So mine is 'too busy' and when I happen to take a few moments and they are working on the sight ... sigh.
Jide Alakija: Working on the site? You mean shutterchance? I can have a look into this for you.

Yeah it's difficult, and I take more photos but not the type I would post on my photoblog. It's really hard to go out of your frame to photograph as a hobby especially when you do it for a living!
