Veteran's Monument, Rio

I've just been playing out with the whole idea of reading blogs through third party clients such as Bloglines (I know I'm a so behind and feel like I have a lot to catch up on) and now feeling the need to change the way I blog. I might later add a seperate "writing" blog to my photography. Ok I can hear you say, "Jide, you're not much of a writer" but the truth is I am, I have a lot on my mind that I want to share. However SC is not the best medium. I feel that the large image is too much of a distraction for long written text.

The image above is my own take of this famous statue in an area of Rio called "Flamengo Park"

The bottom is the stairs.....I See stairs grin.... The Image is beautifully composed..love it. I need to learn composition.
Jide Alakija: Thanks Ada, composition is about balance...I learn a lot listening to good music, both classical and contemporary, there is always a good balance in the use of the instruments in the piece. The same applies to images, the elements need to be put in the right places in your frame in order to achieve the right composition. It's a skill.
