Ndali #3

I got so caught up in my birthday celebrations that I forgot to get something to eat. I kid you not all I've had to eat today is two slices of cake from my lovely Pastorate (who surprised me with my very first b'day surprise - a lovely cake) and a fruit bar. I've very hungry and in search of some grub now.

In the meantime here's a lovely shot of my very good muse, Ndali who I shot here and here.

Interesting shot. I like the soft focus,y did u crop the hand out?
Jide Alakija: I did because I thought it would spoil the balance of the shot.
i absolutely do not need the hand

lovely image
Jide Alakija: I love the hand there because is shows depth to me....remember these are MY experiments...be careful how you read a picture you might make the mistake of imposing your own views on the shot which most of the time spoils the art of the picture.
oh good sir you totally got me wrong

i was referring to tunde's question about cropping the hand out

i meant to say, 'with such a well captured face, i don't need the hand to be in focus or to be fully in the shot'

so i meant it as a compliment

i hope i have better luck being more specific next time

but to be safe i'll rephrase it one more time just to be sure:

my comment get's it's full context when read after tunde owolabi's comment

he asked why you cropped the hand and i said i don't need the hand...well my reason is cos it's clearly not about the hand

hope we're good
cos i'm not yet ready to go all subyesque on your blog
not that that's a bad thing smile

Perhaps there was some confusion between 'hand' and 'arm'?

Either way... nice work - her arm does indeed give the photo a pleasing depth.
