The Rickshaw Rider, A Portrait

Okay let's get a debate going on in here, should Rickshaws (The bikes that carry Time wasting tourists around london). You have to admit that they take up a whole load of space on London roads and they are one of the biggest causes of traffic in the West End. Also they are far more expensive to ride than Black Taxi Cabs.

Let's hear you comments on this one. Remember to tick the "notify me by email of new comments" box when you leave your comment.

very nice portrait. I love the new feature by the way, glad to see shutter is stepping up, that feature has existed on most forums for a while. Sometimes it is just fun to be able to know others opinion on a shot you commented on.
Jide Alakija: Oga, you have made my day! Glad you like it.

Re: the feature, you're right it's one I even had on my first photoblog before starting shutterchance with the guys. Can't think why we didn't put it in, in the first place. Hope you're well.
love the processing on the face

glad to see progress on sc bro
Jide Alakija: Thanks DrAW.
These guys actually serve a purpose but I guess they do get in the way more time than often ... Nice shot anyway

Hail hail the rickshaw rider! They offer the perfect ending to a perfect date - such romance, its bliss! Closest comparable we have to a modern day horse & carriage :o) Alas, I must admit at the best of times they can be the biggest nuisance - but one I'd rather live with than without.

Great photo J, me likes the illuminated face. C x

Great eyes, great smile, and I love the expression.
You really got him to relax for this shot.

There's something weird about the right side of his face... almost looks like a paper cutout pasted on the page!
I actually don't drive in the West End so I don't mind the rickshaws very much smile

Was this taken on your walkabout the other day that I missed out on ? I love the portrait but hate the rickshaws. I drive around the streets of London all day every day and those guys really do get my goat but if I was a tourist I do think I'd give it a go but they are and can be very dangerous !
What a fabulous portrait! Love the conversion and the crisp detail. (:o)
