Jide Alakija, A self portrait

Another one for my mannequin series.

The strength of this shot really only shows when you see the original. It has gone through a massive colour correction in the right sense of the word. For those of you wondering what that means, well basically the digital camera sensor picks up colour at varying degrees of temperatures and luminosity. There are times when you photograph a subject, especially at night when you get the image not looking like what your eyes have seen.

Colour correction is the process of correcting the colours and luminosity in the image to what you feel best represents what you originally saw when the shot was taken.

well lit and executed

from the reflection i gather no use of additional lighting...cool stuff
Jide Alakija: You mean well exposed as opposed to well lit! I didn't light it up. Also that's what colour correction is all about.
