Christmas Special (The Ram)

In preparation for a big feast these fishermen have bought themselves a ram which they are about to cut up into their various portions. These portions will be taken to their family and used to celebrate the Christmas season.

This shot was taken just as I got to the project. I have a follow up shot on my way out and you can see what happened to this ram afterwards. Quite amazing.

Oh the project in question is the Ikorodu one.

Methinks I'm converting to vegetarianism now...

any reason why your pix seem to have these dark/grey undertones? This picture almost feels real to me, save for the missing 'technicolour' effect, if you know what I mean... Photojournalism?
Jide Alakija: I think that's a better answer than saying this is cruel!
Man...This is the sickest shot I've seen you produce. You are a big inspiration! Love the post processing BIG TIME!
Jide Alakija: Thanks dude.

This is a stunning shot, even though I find it difficult to look at. I find myself concentrating on the people, I love the cute flowers on the front guy`s shorts. (:o)
Jide Alakija: Hmmmm...you mean you love the shorts. I really wonder why everyone can't bear to watch it. We have no problem looking at the processed stuff in our burgers. wink

i love the larger-than-life processing

i pity the ram...but slurp grin!
Jide Alakija: Pity the ram??? Why? It was caught to be eaten. Sorry dude unless you don't want to hear the truth then you're on your own.

hmmm...no comment, you have some good posts but sha, you still have a lot to learn.

No I'm being too kind to you, dude go out and think small, you have potential, you're just letting too much get in your way.

You're too emotional for my liking.

Lagbaja has spoken!
Jide Alakija: LOL...I just love this...more drama on Shutterchance. Thanks for the comment but I would like some more help on my emotions if it will help you.

Cruel, in your face shot, but beautiful.
Jide Alakija: Cruel? I always wonder why they say this is cruel when we see pics of starving kids in Somalia and not call that cruel. Sorry VZ, you hit a soft nerve here, I don't think it's cruel when you consider the fact that there are so many lives dying because they can't even provide food for themselves for no fault but the rest of the worlds...it's our responsibility to take care of the world and that includes humans more than ani mals IMHO.

Thanks for the comment.
soooo good, gritty reality, meatlovers delight, neat postprocessing, it has all been said.
I LIKEY very much
Jide Alakija: I wonder what you likey about it...you love steak?
Now this for us is where you excel, with images like these.
Jide Alakija: I think you would say that because I've spent a lot of time doing it. I think if I put my mind to it I can excel in other departments. The point I'm driving at is the power of focus, I have focused on this genre more than others. I think it's time for me to switch to prove my point.

Thanks for your comments.
Excellent! Jide, your debts are piling up - we're still looking forward to the B&W tutorial.

As for the ram, born to die I guess grin
