Drumming Chief

Guys I'm sure you all understand when I say that I'm way too tired to do any work on the next shot from my trip to New York. So I've resorted to the archive of some shots that I started work on but didn't quite complete... The more I look at it the more I like it. I took it right after I took this shot of Oga Drummer

This is very dramatic.
I want to do portraits like you.

What a wonderful expressive face you have captured.
Incredible portrait.
holy shit!
this is insane...
you are blessed with talent sir, NO DOUBT.
Impressive gravity of his face and his scars too. As his glasses avoid us to see his eyes, it really adds a dramatic atmosphere to this portrait.
Sublime PP bro, sublime grin

Intense photo, I like the reflections in his glasses but part of me also wants to see his eyes. It seems that his eyes could tell quite a story.

another one that I'd buy.

I am really enjoying these series of pictures. I would have them hanging from my wall...definitely would be something that I would want on my wall

This image tells you a lot about this man! He certainly takes his craft seriously and is completely dressed for the occasion. The tight lips and the furrowed eye brows.... The black and white just gives that a classic "timeless portrait" look.
I really like it.
ps: you are reflected in the left lens of his glasses. hehe. I think thats hot!

Very strong effort here Jide. The reflection detracts from an otherwise excellent portrait though. A bit more depth of field would have been nice too.

It's so real, it's unreal.

I've been checking your site for a while, but never commented...great pictures...
A friend told me about your website, and I have been very impressed. I have seen this pic a number of times, but I had to return to say nice pic.
