photoblog image Pointless?

Back to building my fine art photography portfolio, something I've ignored for sometime now.

I wouldn't be surprised if many of you don't like this but to those that do you've got something going. I never really understood art like this until I followed the likes of DJN, Jamey Howard and co. There's something about the structure that needs to be desired in these sort of things. If I have time I'll post another one tomorrow from a shot taken with my 10D.

On another note here is an interview I did for a TV programmed that Aired on Sky's BEN TV about 2 years ago. I don't think I was very aware of the way I was speaking in it. Enjoy it. You can view it here. I warn you the actual programme is quite long and I'm only interviewed about 17mins and 30secs in for about 15 secs. Hey at least you get to hear me speak.

In the meantime enjoy.

well done
Thanks for that Jide, I had a look but I can't find any music from Yinka and I'd really like to have a real listen, where can I buy her music and has she been to the UK to do any shows ? Your image of the captured sunset is marvelous.

I'm quite rubbish at maybe seing the artistic side of things, but when I saw it this morning, I wondered for a while what it was, wondered if it were something on a shallow sea bed/ lake/ river. And then I decided, I would never figure out what it was; and started to wonder when forest trees/dired tree stumps in water/stone embedded in a lake.. whatever it was had become an art.

And then there was the aha moment. It is an art when you say it is, and expresses it in such a way that appeals to some. ermm, as a scientist, I still have a lot to learn, but I think I might like it. Its taken me this long to might, Im sure by the end of the day it would be a full blown like. Lets see.

Interview with Jide Alakija Now on you tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLNi6I2ainc
I like this not quite abstract shot. It is so open to interpretation that one never gets tired of it, and it is pleasing to the eye.

Just a quick question, where is Jide's PA??
I like it and I can see it being the start of a series smile You've probably come across John Blakemore but if not it's worth looking him up.

Either way, it is fascinating simply trying to decipher what it is! Is it a tree stump? lol. I really am cluless on this one. I like though... It'll make a great wall hanger.

Well i will be honest although a beautiful picture my first thought was...Why? why take a picture of bark. But now i am like, its not what you photograph - its HOW you photographer WHAT you photograph. And it is a striking picture the lines and grades of white n grey on the bark which contranst with the background all pebbled with no real defining lines
