BW Moods #1

The wedding on Saturday was AMAZING. Skee and I took some amazing shots to. I'm more willing to say that the couple provided the moments for these shots. When I get round to it I'll post something from the wedding.

As for today, this is one from a series I was originally going to start off to include shots for real Black and White moods. I haven't had enough time to sort out the collection so I'm not going to be able to post many.

Extensive work has gone into sorting out the toning and luminance in this one, that you wouldn't know until you see the original I guess.

Enjoy your Sunday

Update: The original shot can be seen here.

Beautiful! Great framing and b+w-conversion.
Looks like the work paid off. It's a beautiful photo.
Hehehehehe...well executed smile
Really would like to see the original.
Lovely . .

I feel the photo is a little too hemmed in - might have benefitted from moving a little closer, to reveal a bit more of the cellist (and cello). Having said that, maybe the cellists feel they're tucked away at the back of the orchestra, and this picture aptly reflects that mood?

I'd be very interested to see the original of this and other PPd photos - do you have them online too?

Keep shooting!
Jide Alakija: Hi Oli, Thanks again for the comment. I don't normally put up the original unless requested. I'll post one up before the end of the week so you can see the work done to it.

I disagree with Oli...the framing is great as is...you see enough of the instrument to know what is going on and sheet-music stands (do they have a name? I'm so uncultured) add depth.

B&W conversion done superbly as well.
Jide Alakija: Thanks Collins, they are called the Blue Topaz.
