photoblog image Majestica!

This shot is for Ngozi, I did originally do one of these in colour but as you probably can tell I'm in a very monochrome mood these days, in fact a lot of my recent works have been in monochrome. I'll soon return to my old ways, soon.

I took this on my way to a very good friends photo exhibition at Bricklane, the light was very poor yesterday so I couldn't get anything spectacular as I'd planned.

This one has had to come up late because I was too tired to do anything last night. Anyway here it is. Was it worth the wait?

Ahhhh ahhh my goodness...There we go. BTW u're just being modest, u got this with poor light? So then if the light was perfect what woulda happened? Is it plastic or is that a person cos she looks porcelain...Then there's a glare in her right eye?
What's d story for this picture.
Jide Alakija: Actually it's a maniquin! I'm quite chuffed that there is a mystery behind what it or she actually is. Yes I've done some extensive exposure work to it to correct the lighting on this one. Thanks
Nice picture . Impressive make up.
Jide Alakija: Thanks.

The Alakija fella, this is almost a perftct and awesome awesome awesome shot, why almost perfect, because me sharp eyes detect the right eye is lighter than the left eye, that uneveness puts me slightly off cause the mask is even all around, sort it out and you get 100% awesome

Jide Alakija: Thanks Suby.
very very nice!! your exposure correction work resulted in a flawless image, very very intriguing, love it. Love the monochromes too, keep on posting them!!!
Jide Alakija: Thanks Patrick.

This is definitely a mannequin!

Absolutely brilliant shot BUT the chin bothers me... don't know if it is a shadow or just some discolouration. You can easily airbrush it.

The problem is that when an image such as this, is so close to perfection.. tiny imperfections stick out like a sore thumb!
Jide Alakija: Sometimes I think you're too smart for your own good. Thanks Pete.

love it. I went looking down Bricklane yesterday but I couldn't find it, where did I go wrong ?
Jide Alakija: Hmmm...depends on where you are coming from. I usually go there via liverpool street.
Jide Alakija: Thanks Bridge.

I like it, although I almost think it's a pity the mannequin and mask aren't symmetrical, but that's their fault not yours.
Jide Alakija: No it wasn't. I was behind a shop window.
The thumbnail fooled me into thinking you had a live model. I'm almost glad to discover it's a mannequin. smile
Jide Alakija: Thanks Karen.
Thats a stunner.....
