Make up reflection

I was given the privelege of assisting Asiko over the weekend. I used a Canon EOS 400D that was borrowed from Shakara to do this shot, I basically was testing out it's capabilities. I have to say that it's a very good camera for what it was, although I did produce quite a bit of noise at ISO 1600 which i wasn't used.

This is a shot of the make up artist doing her work on the bride through the mirror of a make case. I kind of wish I took this with a smaller apeture looking at it now, even though I was very much limited by the amount of light that came into the camera.

I'm numero uno!!!

boss mi, am not quite sure how I feel here, are those "circles" or marks or whateva meant to be there? cuz they're a bit distracting....pls explain
Jide Alakija: Well done. It's just an impression. You could say a contrast between a sharp and an out of focused image...anyway it's just an experiment.

Quite an effective experiment I would say Jide. Clever idea and well executed, nice to see you try something a little different. Many regards, Neil.
Jide Alakija: Thanks Neil. I'm planning that I'll have more time in the future to try out more creative compositions. Glad you like it. Kinda reminds me of the kind of shots I used to take back in the day.

Love it!!!! Gives me the idea of seeing something i am not supposed to see....very candid!
Great one Jide
Jide Alakija: Thanks Petra. That's an interesting perspective.
Damn u for putting up this great creative shot. HEY!!!!!!!!! where are the CD of shots?
Jide Alakija: I think you have a much better version, at least in yours you can see the make up case and the composition is stronger. You CD? How about my cards?
Like like the shot .Well done sir..
Jide Alakija: No worries...cool camera. grin
I really like this. Very nice.
Jide Alakija: Thanks Foofie..how you?
Nice one. Really keen on the lighting for this (same as I do for most of your pixes anyway). Was a snoot used here or it's just PP?
Jide Alakija: Snoot? No, that's a reflection off a make up mirror, the lighting is perfectly natural. Also no PP was done other than conversion to monochrome.

Uuummm, interesting LOL.

My only issue is the MUA is more in prominence than the bride.
Jide Alakija: Well I guess if I had a larger mirror you'll see more but I didn't. grin
