Skate or die

Flashback from the past. This was a shot that was supposed to have gone up just after I took this shot. I never got round to completely being satisfied with the final shot. Since I haven't really had time to do much I thought I'd post it anyway and let you guys be the critique as usual.

Like I put in my last post, some of my compositions bear in mind what the shot may be used for, so don't jumpt to fast to conclusions on my compositions, I know what I'm doing.

I did do some shooting today as I took my camera to work with me today. I think in all 30 shots I got only two are fitting for my photoblog, so I'm ve quite happy with my outcome. If I get round to it I'll post them tomorrow and the day after. Till then I haven't any stories to tell oh apart from the fact that I couldn't enter my photo into the Telegraph newspaper today as a result of my dodgy internet connection at home. I'm so gutted. Anywho I'm sure more opportunities will arise later. I'm glad I was even asked in the first place for a feature of one of my shots.

The Subster duffs his virtual hat to Sir Alakija once again for the awesomeness of his talent. grin

Great timing and a striking image!
I was at Hyde Park a couple of weeks ago, but I brought along my skates instead of my camera. Great shot Jide.

What i really like about this picture is it stresses the whole idea of "frozen in time" That guy will forever be suspended in the air in this photo. lol. I wish i didnt see that much shadow but you cant really do much about that because of the light. I've never see the sky look so beautiful though...i really think this is an amazing shot. grin What didnt you like about it... i'm curious.
Jide Alakija: Aibee, thanks for your comments. What don't I like about this one? Nothing. I like it alot but I'm not completely happy with it. I think it could be a lot better. I personally feel that there are too many distractions around the main subject and only wish that that wasn't the case. The order of the cloud too bothers me. I'd like more around him. The light is also a bit too strong. That's it I guess.

Hahaha... "what dont i like about this one? nothing".. and then you go to list quite a few things... I dont think thats nothing. grin Either way, i completely understand what you mean about capturing the main subject. A lone character would have been really amazing. The clouds... i seem to like them the way they are. I think more than what it is and youre taking away from the nice contrast the blue sky brings to the photograph. wink My thoughts. ...
