It is finished

I actually didn't plan to put this one up as it's not finished. I was planning on going out today to get some River Thames shots but I spent the whole day in doors waiting for the DHL man to turn up. Don't you just hate it when you are expected to wait from 9am to 5pm for a delivery man to turn up at your house and you can guess when he finally came to the for.....Yup...5pm. By the time it was really dark so this has to come up.

This is the quarter back from the last game of the season and if I'm correct that was his last game for the Olympians. I think this was an emotional moment for the player.

Well tomorrow, I am stuck at home waiting for the delivery man to come over, AND YES I dislike having to wait all day, but what choices do we have? smile

You say the shot ain't finished, jeeezzz, bro, what else do you want to do? The shot is awesome enough as it is.

Love it, love it, love it.
Jide Alakija: Dude...I wasn't even waiting for a package, they were supposed to pick up a franking machine they sent me by mistake.

Well I'm not happy with the shot as such, I was planning on putting up a colour version but I kopped out and produced a mono version instead.
Ohhhh this is hot!!...lovely compostion!!

it's either i'm getting soft...or alll ur pictures have just been mega awesome....
Jide Alakija: LOL.....I'll take the latter. I think also the state of my mind too is good so the work that I'm producing is a lot better too.

Glad you didn't finish it as it would probably gone overboard smile

Great post.

I can see his full back, so why a quarter back?
Jide Alakija: LOL @ Full back.

I was planning on doing a colour version, trust me when I say that the colour version would have been a lot better, I just couldn't get it to look that way.

Arrghhh!!! u touched a soft spot and I'm going to rant. Tell me about it. British gas is the worst offender. Last week I waited at home all day to get my heating sorted (9 -5 waiting period)...not to mention a whole day worth of holiday gone down the drain. Wait till 4 and dude hasn't turned up so I decide to have a shower. Next min hear knock on the door, run out ASAP, and there's a note through my letter box. "sorry you were out when we called" ran after the guy and .... Aaarrghh..had to take another day off to wait for the dude again.
Moral of the story:- Don't move when British gas is calling..as in literally don't move...nice pic by the way...

these delivery companies are really becoming a nuisance.
my friend suffered exactly the same thing 3 days ago.
invoice them for your hourly rate and send the bill to their HQ
Sounds like waiting for the phone, cable, gas, water companies, etc. It is so annoying when they give that kind of window.

Love the shot even if it isn't finished it's really got a great impact.

very touching...i really like the softness in the top half and the encroching shadows around the figures...
SCUMBAG!!!!!!!! awesome shot
It is certain, this player is living here a little while very sad. Perhaps one defeats? I like much the general defocusing of the picture and the light affecting the back of the boy.

Think you've captured the emotion well of course aided by some lvoely processing.
Very awesome.. I just admire everything you do... great work
I like the way you've composed the image such that one is unavoidably drawn to the subject, and then one is forced to deal with the emotion straight away. As usual, you tell give us the information with which to contruct our own private stories. Nice one, Jide.
