To the worship front

Another from my last trip down here in the summer. I didn't get the opportunity to go to the beach this year if not I would have got some good shots of these Celestial people. Here is a lady and her daughter on their way to the waterfront where they worship. I can't remember the exact details of how I captured this one.

Precious photography. Excellent composition. Brilliant colors. Expression of the lady, impressive.
you might have missed some of her face from the pp jide
Jide Alakija: I know...this is more a screen calibration issue with my laptop where is was processed.

Will comment tomorrow! Mal
There's something timeless about this picture, probably the dress of this lady and the backgroung seems to be also without age. A beatiful light here, and a vibrant portrait... doesn' t seem to be happy...A very good picture Jide.

Not one of your best shots I must say. I think the gown and the face is a tad too bright/white.

I agree but not completely. The gown, well it is their style. As for the face, the woman's face looks painted.
Altogether, not my favourite picture or subject for that matter.

Fascinating...I love to learn about different peoples and their beliefs around the world. Is Celestial people the name of their religious order? Do they dress like this only for worship or is it part of their daily lifestyle?

Great shot. It really peeks my curiosity about their culture.

beautiful - i like the composition a lot.
Would have really liked to know how this shot happened. Her expression isn't in the least inviting.
You know me and my complaints about skin tones, so I'll spare you. Though as always loving the colours.
love the shot! I happen to love the post-processing. It gives the photo a mood.
This is one of my favorite shots by you...
