photoblog image Supernatural

Here is another portrait of Miss U, remember her? We (Tosin and I) did a quite a number of shots for her last summer and I posted this one, this one, this one, and this one.

I can already hear some of you saying things like, "It's too dark" or "it should have been centred" sorry guys that's just the way I like it. As she said when I showed it to her, it's supernatural and I think that's just what I'm going to title this one.

I like her the way she is Jide. Supernatural, as you say. My only criticism is the well-defined black vertical stripe in the background on the left. I'd be inclined to bring it to the same luminosity as the rest of the background, perhaps by cloning the other background over it.
Jide Alakija: D'oh. On my main computer you can't even tell. On my laptop it's horrible. This is really annoying. Anyway let's pretend it's there.

I couldn't see that strip until I moved so it kinda doesn't matter until it's printed. Supernatural is a pretty good title. I find it haunting and strangley compelling, must be those eyes. A shot like this should never be centered unless it's a very close crop but hey what do I know.
Ohhhh I love the fact it's not in the center!!...Nice!!!

I like that it is not centered, it makes it alluring and a bit sensual ; almost like an "I know I am a mysterious lady but you aint disrespecting me (in a slutry tone)" look! Jeez, i have gone 360 and back "tsk" "tsk"

In English, great picture
this portrait is one of the best i ever seen!

It's too dark, it should have been centred... LOL Hey bro how many times do I have to tell you leave the critics to the veiwers, let us make up our minds Jeezzzz.....

Anywayyyyy, I likes it, I see what Steve is saying about the background, for me a very very awesome shot.

Now next time just shut-up, ofcourse it's the way you like it, why else did you post it.

if you post naff pictures most of the time then you need excuses like the one above, but you don't.
It's natural and super, so very well titled. Sure, too dark was my first thought, but it didn't take much of a second look to see the merits of this exactly as it is. Superbly done.

Well I must say that I like this one. I would agree with those who say the levels (white point) could do with being brighter but that's all. Very nice.
That's a cool, smokey shot. great contrast & dark tones.

I love the composition, and she is lovely, but you are right I do think it's too dark but as you say you like it that way so it doesn't matter. I don't see the stripe unless I look at my screen standing up and looking down at it at an angle.
