Dead Bird

Today wasn't a great day for me, well I've had a string of bad luck coming my way over the past few days and I don't want to go into it right now.

Here is an image that some of you might have seen from the times when I used to use a point and shoot. This was taken on a beach on the same day I took this image and this image, with the same camera. I didn't know much about compositions, f-stops, exposure.....heck all I knew was I that I saw a dead bird on the beach and it looked interesting to capture.

Oh by the way check out this Thriller dance. It should put a smile on someones face. :D

I love how poignant this photo is in it's utter simplicity. Nothing more needs to be in this photo.
I hope tomorrow is a better day for you!
LOL Thanks for "Thriller dance". They really looked like they were having a great time!
Jide Alakija: Suzanne, thanks for your comment. I really enjoyed the thriller dance myself.
I agree with Suzanne. Vibrant.
Jide Alakija: Thanks Florence. Tomorrow's is even more vibrant.

It is simple and I like that. However it is also gloomy. There is a slight feeling of "desert of dealth" to it. The longer you stare at it, the creepier it gets.
Jide Alakija: You know that's what I said when I saw it. All sorts of thoughts went into my mind.

*Shock Horror* This is simply horrid and intrusive... the least you could do is to leave the poor dead bird alone to rest in peace!
Jide Alakija: Well if I did how would you know that there was a poor bird out there? wink
It's very simply object, but has result of one good pict. Bravo!
Jide Alakija: Thanks Dudee.

I really like the use of all the empty space on this, you had a good eye then.

I hope things turn around for you really fast.
Jide Alakija: Thanks Micki.

woud make a killer wallpaper...plenty of first hand experience when it comes to bad luck, u just gotta remember that it HAS to get over a certain point..keep ur head up mate...awesome vid btw...
Jide Alakija: Thanks Sam.
Well composed, thought the vignetting is a little bit too much.
Jide Alakija: Thanks Dotun. I think when it comes to vignetting there is a personal preference. I personally like a lot of vignetting in my images, I know my very good friend Skee, can't stand it.
