Feeling a bit better today, though I'm still feeling drowsy. I really don't know what must have hit me but I know I need to rest. I have noticed that I haven't been creative of late. I am suffering with photographic fatigue and have been for some time. I think this is the reason I keep settling for images like these. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad image but there is so much more I would like to show you guys. I think I may need a break from Photography. Maybe venture into something else for a while, who knows. Until then I'll chill...What do you think? Do you agree?

I haven't been feeling too well of late and as such have not been posting. I managed to get into work for a few hours this morning but didn't have the energy to last whole day. This means that I will not be posting tomorrow either. Hopefully I'll have something to post the day after when I return to work, God willing. In the meantime enjoy this portrait of Harri Peccinotti who is a photographer himself. I suggest you google him to learn more about him and his work, particularly in fashion. He is a really swell dude.

During a lot of the work I do whilst documenting weddings I see kids doing what I used to do when I was a lot younger, ok not so long ago, I still do it. But really you have to feel for them as they really have no business in church ceremonies. Thank God for Playstation Portables!

But anything this is not a shot to be compared to the shot of yesterday. It's a different expression and different presentation of emotion. To add to the EXIF, I fired my flash at -0.33 Exp comp. , this is why I shot in Manual. (Really this last statment is for Stan)

I had to think twice before posting this one as a lot of work has gone into it. First of all inspired by something that Skee put on his photoblog of this same artist. I didn't want to put up something similar or mediocre either. The other reason was that I hadn't done anything creative outside the camera for a while. Maybe I've spent too much time outside Photoshop. This is a shot from the Nneka Concert at Cargo in London two days ago. For more information on her music visit her myspace page. This shot might look nicer on the black theme i.e. the black square box at the top left of this page.

This image has been influenced by the comments from yesterdays post. I got the feeling that more emphasis was put towards the technical side of the photo rather than the subject. IMHO you have to be careful not to destroy a good moment (as opposed to shot) by your high technical standards. Sometimes you might find yourself focusing too much on it to the point that you wouldn't take a shot of an event because the colours are wrong, composition is not right etc. Sometimes it's about the scene more than anything else. Especially when documenting an event, you can't control many things, so you have to work with what you have. Anyway, this is a different approach to the event presented yesterday. Enoy.

Sorrry guys, you had to go a day without me posting. It's no excuse considering that it was a weekend. Also I have a whole load of new stock to put up which I should have posted. Well the reason I wasn't able to post was because I didn't spend enough time in the office to process the images I wanted to post. Anyway, on Saturday I had a few moments to spare en route to a party so I thought I'd walk around Covent Garden and grab some images. I haven't been very successful of late at picking out moments in this location so I thought I'd try one more time. Some of you may know this part of the market very well, usually the pit (as I call it) is open to Violin buskers, I thought I'd intrude on their party and grab some images, lucky for me my intrusion helped them alot as the crowd saw them as important icons of the market, so much so that a photojournalist with his massive camera had to document their work. Naturally these guys put up a display for me.

Even after some extensive cropping I was still able to recover quite a lot of detail in this portrait! I have the say that the EOD 10D is a great camera!

I've been asked by Yinks and Johnny to put up more wedding related photos so I decided that I'll put on hold what I originally wanted to post up. As I mentioned sometime ago I really don't like using my photoblog to post up work that is related to clients for the mere reason of privacy. The images you see have the clients consents most of the time but sometimes it can be difficult to share work that is deemed as private. I mention this because I really want you all to be sensitive to those you make comments on or about, not everyone can take the heat that you all have come accustomed to. This shot was taken during the my first wedding using the EOS 1 D MkIII. For those of you wondering about the camera I can tell you that it's a B****y fast camera. You can hardly miss a moment with it. As far as picture quality is concerned I am yet to see a difference in what it is giving me compared to the EOS 5D. I know this because I shot with both cameras on the day and the image quality is more or less the same. This would make a lot of sense as the pixel density is more or less the same between both cameras. So that's good news for all you EOS 5D users. I must stress though that that being said the 5D is more a studio camera than the 1D MkIII, I wouldn't put it in the rain or take too many photos with it, it wasn't built for heavy duty use. Finally, this shot was processed from RAW using Capture One, no photoshopping,
