Parking Area Boy
What is the (parking) world coming to?
These guys can be such a nuisance (sp) sometimes, you park your car at YOUR OWN RISK and they come in with their own laws and TAX you before you can move it. Don't get me wrong they have to form a living for themselves but the issue I have is that they don't provide value for money. If they provided a service based on the fact that the security was failing and they made sure that my car was secure then I guess I'd be interested. They somewhat force you to pay them for a service you didn't ask for. Okay guys....let's have a discussion on this. Here is the original shot Post processing: DOF through Alpha channels (4 different levels of DOF), BW through Lab mode, Sepia tonning, cropping. Tomorrow you are in for a treat, I'm experimenting and so I don't expect anyone to like it, but I would be very interested to hear what you think.....prior warning. Unto something else, a good friend, Bukkie Opebiyi, a Nigerian photographer is exhibiting her work the whole of next week starting with a private viewing on Friday, 21st April 2006. The title of the exhibition : 'Nigeria, My Bias'. The exhibition is on till the 26 April at: London College of Communication, Lower street Gallery, Elephant and Castle, London SE1 6XB. Times: 9:30am - 8:00pm. You can see some of her work here

Jide Alakija: Thanks....that's the way I feel when I see images like this too.
Awesome work again. I'm intrigued how you used the alpha channels for DOF but nevertheless great composition. One day my blog will look like yours ;-) well done
Jide Alakija: Suby's put a good link on how to use Alpha channels. I've also put up the original so you can see the difference.
Looks HDRish,
Anyway, I am soo glad that ain't my car, I would not be pleased at all Wonder how the owners feel. Cool shot, like the backdrop, what Apperture did you originally use for this shot? Looking forward to you experimental shot. Been doing some myself lately Attah this may help you. http://www.creativepro.com/story/feature/22413.html
Jide Alakija: HDRish? Nah. So no likey here?
I've put up the original so you can see the HDRish feel to it.
The guy looks relaxed, as if he was just having a picknick. The blurry background brings out his silhouette very well.
Jide Alakija: Thanks Ella, I've put up the original shot so you can see the begining and compare.
Very nice composition. Sorry, can't comment on the parking guy, we don't have this kind of forced upon security measures where I live
Great shot, but this would thoroughly tick me off.
excellent, I like how the bg fades out
They sit around on your car like that, and still expect to be paid? Gosh... Good shot.
That's a lovely shot. It's amazing how comfortable and skilled you are in taking pictures of people naturally...great blurry background.Lovely slight sepia toning and overall effect.Great shot!

Great tone and DOF here.
Great tone and DOF here.
I like the image, the bush is a little distracting underneath him but you can't really help that. I like the DOF and the colour composition.
Well again a picture I can not resist to look at longer...
