Interesting how the warm, uplifting light, conflicts with the subject matter.
... and nobody seems to want to know.

"Using human tragedy as an artistic ready made has definite pros and cons.
Relevance is usually guaranteed; the heart strings are likely to be pulled.
But the art may be overshadowed by the story, which may in turn be trivialized and exploited by the art."
In a way this reminds of the Pulitzer prize winning picture that Kevin Carter took in 1993 of a young girl being stalked by a vulture.
Also remids me of the comments i received when i posted this http://trey.shutterchance.com/image/2009/11/19/how-the-other-side-lives/

All in all i love this picture.. for what it says and what it doesnt say. Well done dude..

Reminds of the incident that occurred last year in China when a toddler was run over twice but no one stopped to help. Chilling image. It also reminds me of watching a homeless man have an epileptic fit in Lagos and cars just drove around him, mothers dragged their children and thought it contagious. I knew how to help, wanted to help but I was only 8 years old.
