Too much sun? I love how you don't see anything but pavement for a split second, then your eyes adjust.
I too, would have liked to see more but I guess a good photograph is like a good story: Great opening, and leaves you wanting more.

I think the scale is absolutely perfect. Any closer shot would ruin teh the photograph.
