Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, A portrait

I remember when I first met Chimamanda Adichi, the session was really interesting. She kept on distracting me and my focus as I was photographing her. It was all in jest I must say but it was really interesting too. I remember her going on about how I must complete my PhD thesis and how I was so defiant on the issue of how unready I was. It was such a soft topic at the time as I didn't want to d with anything academic at the time. In the end she gave me this look and I'm so happy it all went well in the end.

Love this portrait series you're posting!
I was looking forward to this one, I hoped you photographed her, she is my favourite after Achebe. Wonderful capture. Loving the series

Your pictures are so real and true. Chimamanda has built a unique style for herself. She'a one of the most detailed and hardworking writers.
