about

This is probably the first time I've totally processed a shot in Capture One Pro and posted it on my photoblog. I would normally sometimes do some contrast corrections and resizing in Photoshop, however this time I didn't. I was kinda forced to start processing all my images in Capture one as my Photoshop CS3 stopped working. It's caused a serious delay in delivering to my clients.

In the end I upgraded to CS4, something I'm still getting a hang of.

On another note I've found a new type of love for my 50mm f/1.8 Lens. It's not one I tend to bring out during events but upon reflection over some images I've been working on this week I realised that I can present my stories better with the 50mm focal length. This image is typical of the kind of images I was able to get at my last event (today, a traditional wedding ceremony).

how do you do this things Jide?
Transform the mundane into the exceptional?
Jide Alakija: I don't think this was a mundane moment. I think it was a genuine moment, but one we tend to ignore.

I still think your the best at capturing moments, you simply tell the tale of the day....
Jide Alakija: That's too kind of you. I think I'm more interested in the stories that unfold during these events. I fear sometimes that the commercial side of my work clouds my vision and as such I am slowly focusing more on the "Safer" images that most clients want.
TambiƩn para mi el 50mm f/1.8 es el mejor objetivo de Canon.
