about

I'm about to move office and so started looking through old files in an attempt to determine what's important and what's not. I came across this shot I took sometime in 2006. At the time I didn't seem much but now I look at it I now I can see it's significance.

Does that happen to you sometimes? Do you take a shot then look at it during your review on the computer, don't like it then come back much much later and see something you didn't see before? Well I certainly feel that way in this case.

Ah! ... I get this now. A victory sign for his friend taking the photograph and a more assertive and disparaging gesture for the bloody photographer behind his back.

Ha!

while the Brit stands guard of what is left of the old empire, the Chinese tourist signals Victory for the oldest empire that has risen again.
