Childlike faith #1

Over the next three days I'm going to post images from weddings. These are not about the wedding couple or ceremony directly but about the kids.

All of them are about the same thing. Kids looking up.

Up until recently I've hardly done a lot of photoshopping to my images, all I've been doing is correcting exposures and the likes. Quite minimal. I quite miss the kind of processing that I used to do when I didn't know anything about lighting so hence a lot of photoshopping. For example theses
shots, 1, 2 and 3. Since then I don't shoot without my lighting knowledge being applied and hence very little photoshopping.

This and the following two shot has been processed very much the same way as the examples stated above. I really miss these types of images!

Sigh!

Beautiful. The lighting is perfect on the boy's face. He has the look of pure innocence.
Jide Alakija: Pure innocence indeed! Thanks Kay.

Very appropriate title! I love how children are so oblivious to their surroundings at times, perfectly captured here. Looking forward to the rest of this series!
Jide Alakija: You recognise the location?

in the end it's the eye that matters. and you have it.
all the pix are well done...photoshop-heavy or no.
Jide Alakija: Photoshop heavy? Are you kidding me, apart from the carpet lighting and the colour correction on the boy...nothing more...!

this is where u excel, truly gifted photojournalist (and I know what u are going to say ..........sharrrap
Jide Alakija: Actually it's not the photojournalism that strikes me...I do love photojournalism but it's only an channel to what I love to do which is anthropology! I enjoy creating moody images, be it photojournalism or still life!
fantastic!
Jide Alakija: Thanks!
Wonderful shot. Angelic expression on the youngster.

good sir i was referring to the other pix...pix 1,2,3 from your earlier days...yeah i took the time to look thru them.

i like the all the shots you've showcased on today's blog irrespective of the amount of photoshopping...point is, in the end it's the taste of what's on the plate that matters and not how it was cooked.
