Okay guys we are back to portraits of photographers or maybe you can say Shutterchancers. This is one very similar to what I did with Suby about a year and half ago. The main difference is that this was taken in the daytime whilst the other was taken at night.

I am constantly amazed with the amount of data I am able to recover from the EOS 5D Raw file. If you know what you are doing you can produce an image that looks like one taken by a medium format camera! Okay maybe I'm being a bit too optimistic there. But you have to admit that the sitters head is almost about to pop out of the screen. Maybe it's just my screen!

At this rate I'll be make portraits of the quality of Jack Guy with my 5D! Wishful thinking?

This is Abisola, for those of you that don't know.

Care to share the info on the pp ? I don't have an L series lens yet but I do have the 5d.
Jide Alakija: Honestly Johnny, nothing much apart from selective exposure masking in parts such as the rim of the glasses and beard.
SHIT! I should be using this camera!
Jide Alakija: You should indeed, though you can still produce the same kind of result with your 400D, if you understand what your sensor is doing to the resultant image it captures.

I just want to reach out to those skintones and just grab them smile Very nice shot as usual, but I am not sure of the medium format comparison though smile
weird thing, Jide, I've never seen myself quite this clearly before even when I look in the mirror smile

Looks like your 5D is 'larger than life'! Lovely processing... and nice shot.

Fine boy!!

An absolutely superb portrait Jide. You're right, his face does seem to pop out of the screen. Amazing.

Could you tell me please, what are the little white flecks on his glasses? Do they need cleaning? wink
Shot sir !!
