Shoot the Breeze

I'm not doing too well with this one shot a day thing, in fact I've false started! I'm not sure I can do it. I think I'm just blowing a lot of hot air. As I said it's only a consideration. I haven't been shooting for about two weeks now and I don't think I'll be shooting for a while yet. So it's back to the archives for me.
I felt a bit inspired by the work of a Spanish photographer I recently met. Looking at my portraits, I realised what it was that drew some people to them - especially the dramatic ones of the past. This portrait was actually taken 2 years ago - I have a whole series of photos of this person. This one, this one, this one, this one, and this one. The first one was one of my first ever experiences in the studio. With this photo, believe me when I say that, not until now did I think it was anywhere close to being dramatic enough. I suppose I could say that seeing my portraits through other people's eyes has helped my own perspective?

The composition is excellent as usual but the hair on the face is a little distracting to me... gives the impression that she got caught up in a fierce storm more than anything else... but her winning smile saves the day!

I have been gone for a while...my comment...I like it. I would have loved to have sen a hint of brown...almost a late autumn winter feel. It is the sharpness that I like...being able to see every detail of the face, yet not completely
