Gloomy lagoon

Too tired to say much today. I spent the whole day working on client jobs and I didn't finish. This is a shot I processed about a year a go. It was taken along the Third Mainland bridge in Lagos. It's a lot nicer if you can see it in full res.

Okay for what happened to me today. Firstly I should have mentioned that my car knocked some weekends ago. I was on my way to documenting a wedding and on the motorway the engine stopped. IT's really funny because my younger brother warned me of this. He had a dream of the exact thing that happened. I'm not one to believe in dreams but I was cautious, in the end it happened. It kinda freaked me out but then hey it was for a reason. Anyway I've managed to write-off the car and maintained running a business on public transport.

Thank God for his messages in dreams right? What's your take on dreams? I never remember mine and when I do they aren't really interesting. How about you? Do you dream?

My first thought when I saw this was Amazing, the formations of the clouds, the building in the far distant, the murky waters and the weed formation. LOve it.

On the topic of dreams, I guess dreams can also be a gift - Dont want to go too heavy in the word - but many are given gifts, such as gifts of prophesy, tongue (http://tercblog.blogspot.com/) and many more. You can either be a Joseph or a Samuel. Either way God speaks and to many of us differently. But we also have to have a discerning heart to recognise when God speaks and not our minding wishing or fantasy. If you are a Joseph you will be able to tell the difference.
Jide Alakija: Thanks A.
Jide, a precious panorama. 17mm is able to include it everything!
Jide Alakija: Technically since it's taken on my 10D it's actually 27.2mm not 17mm. wink

The whole dream issue - a bit complex... It would be a bit too simplistic to take every single dream on face value - sometimes an overactive imagination creates a dream based on your last thoughts before your head hit the pillow, and yes you dream about going to the bathroom because your subconcious is saying 'dude, i'm not playing here, we really need the loo!' I think sometimes dreams can be taken too literally and can be grossly misinterpreted. However I don't dispute the fact that they do remain a valid source of revelation, sometimes a call to prayer or action, and at other times just simple 'expo' from God about his immutable plans for the future.
Jide Alakija: Agreed, however when a you dream of something a few weeks before the actual incident and the specifics of the incident occurs, you have to question what happened.

Gorgeous processing here, Jide.

Jide Alakija: On the Third mainland bridge!
Do I dream? Naturally. Also it reminded me of the novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" Part basis for the movie Blade Runner.

This pic is excellent- all it needs is a nice simple-yet exciting frame + a white wall to hang from (on the way to my bedroom) I want it badly Jide!
