This was taken as part of an experiment using off camera flash. It wasn't done in a studio but underneath a bridge. Need I say more, the shot tells you everything about Funke's personality.
As for yesterday, thank you very much for the responses. It was very nice to see you all were there and your thoughts are always very encouraging. Without saying anything I can't know you're there or what you think. This can be very lonely and hard at times.
Okay back, interesting work with the flash here, lovely shot, but a part of me keeps on wondering if it would be an even more stunning image in B&W, ummmmm...

Jide Alakija: Sorry Dude...I don't like it in mono. That's why it's in colour. I did try it in B&W but I don't know if you noticed that the environment is black so you are very likely to loose detail even though the detail is there. Basically there is not enough light on her for me to do a conversion to B&W, at least not the way I would do it. In a sense loose impact, at least the impact I was going for.
I approve!!! I agree with Suby but I approve. I could have this on my wall but I think I would prefer it is black and white. I am a huge fan of shading of brown. How about it? Keep the outfit in colour but the rest of it is black and white...I would play around with it a bit more
Jide Alakija: See my reply to Suby's comment. Thanks.
Very nice composition here Jide. Hmm I think I am learning my deficiencies now composition wise. Pls do a n&w version n lets see.
Jide Alakija: Sorry Ngozi, I'm not in agreement with you on the conversion. I don't just convert any shot to B&W, I shoot for B&W, this time I didn't, so there is little light on the subject. If I did a conversion I would loose detail.
I was thinking along the same lines and wishing that the background was white or something. But yes, try harder because I am not impressed by this one. I am content. I want to be able to say "Love IT!!" and then share it with a couple of friends...
Jide, Beautiful shot, i love it, and I do agree with you, this will probably not work in B\W, and there is no need to actually the yellow/brown/black is a natural tri-tone by itself.
well i really like the expression and the vibes from her...at the same time i do miss the soft graduation in tones youve shown us before...then again i suppose thats only possible in bw and the shot wouldnt be the same in bw at all...

why are you guys always looking for what is not there, the man has told you this is how he wants it, please leave all your conversion alone and enjoy the work, Follow the artist's mind.
I love the way you've composed this with the hands defining the space the side and bottom. Lighting perfect. There's such lovely movement and life to this image too. Quality image Jide.
