Stones #2

Do you remember Stones from way way back....this shot i.e. well here is another version. This originally was taken on a Canon EOS 20D I was testing. I used the monochrome option. The original JPEG was in black and white so I've toned in the colour in this one.

Great shot. I love that the pattern is broken in the upper right corner, adds some interest to the photo. Would be interesting to see what it looks like with a really low f-stop, so that only parts of the photo is in focus..
Jide Alakija: Thanks Josef, that's an interesting idea, one I'll try next time I do another stones shot. grin
i like josef's idea of keeping only some parts in focus...i dont like the break in the pattern though, seems beautiful without it...
I have to say Jide, I like the other one better... The mood of the other one is warmer, and the top third of this image does you no real favours. The detail on the stones in the foreground is better in this image though.
I think the other one was better. The lighting on it was much better and more dramatic. This is nice though.

My inclination is for the continuous pattern, but that small observation aside, it's interesting that so simple a subject can make a most appealing image.
just seen this ...wow!
