Trading Malams

More archive raiding....this time from my first set of shots that I had ever taken on my then new EOS 10D.

Yawn....today was another long day at work, I'm only just getting back home (1:10am), I quickly processed this and liked it. I think I'll do a set of shots like this from my Nigerian series. I'm not a very big fan of sepia toning but I think with shots like these I'll start to like them. Maybe it's all to do with the subject matter than anything else. I find that too many photographers tone their images in this manner without really thinking about why they are doing it....hey who am I to judge. I'm only learning from the greats myself.....right Suby?

Eeehhh, double take, was my name and the word "great" used in the same sentence by the uberly talented and hero worshipped Alakija fella? lol smile

Okay on a serious note, now this is what I like to see, loving the tones on this image bruv, loving it. You know I know you know I know you know that one day (VERY SOON) there is going to be a HUGE noise about your African Art (& other work), I just advise people buy while they can still afford you cause I trully believe you are one of those people changing the face of not only Nigerian Photography, but African Photography scene. Having an Alakija Art or portrait hanging on ones wall will soon be a status symbol. Good work bro, good work
