"Words are not enough" - Art Exhibition
Get your tickets now!!!
Tickets on sale
here

The tenth shot in the series.

My very good friend Bolanle has been working very hard on an Art exhibition for charity. She approached me to contribute some of my works for auction along with some other artists. The title of the exhibition is "Words are not enough" and you can see more details of it here. I strongly urge you all to come as you'll not only get a chance to see good work in 3D but also a chance to give to charity. Tickets are on sale on the website through the "buy now" link at the top.

this is also nice but I prefer yesterdays.
How did you get on this side of the barrier Jide ? Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Jide Alakija: I was a press photographer for the Paraiso School of Samba during the carnival. Infact I've done this job two years in a row. I'm considering doing it again this year. Check out the remaining 9 shots in my archive, I even put a link to the school if interested.
Excellent...another good carnival shot...like the mtued tones a lot...

Street and documentary photography relies on capturing images of people in candid situations in public places, but it’s advisable to get your subject’s permission, particularly if your aim is to reproduce these images for exhibitions, film or other creative avenues. Other than using model release forms, what are the steps you should take to avoid infringement of privacy rights or data protection, whether you’re photographing an ‘anonymous’ subject or a high profile politician or celebrity.
great shot! just love the atmosphere you captured!

Good carnival shot. Looks lsightly HDR-ish, which I'm not sure about but the photo itself is very accurate.
Jide Alakija: Thanks Dude. Not HDR a lot of curve work though. I'm trying to develop a style when it comes to street work. Kind of like what I did in this shot : http://alakija.shutterchance.com/photoblog/58526.htm
I believe pictures taken in a public place are pretty much public. No need to worry 'bout the model as far as I see. Who has to sign a release - the whole crowd?
