This here is a shot that Elsie and Sinem, Suby's wife would like, I think. This is another archive shot I took of the new metropolitian part of London, an area called Canary Wharf, just like this one I took on a train journey into London.
I don't know if it's just me but to all the Canon EOS 5D users I seem to be taking better outdoor shots in heavy sunlight with my Canon EOS 10D than I do with my Canon EOS 5D. You might say it's the lens but I doubt it very much. The shots I get with the same lenses on my 10D are a lot better in my opinion than those with my 5D, in that I find them easy to work with. Maybe it's just a personal perception of what I like and the images from the 5D are more like the real thing than they are from the 10D.
I think I'm going to keep shooting these landscapes with my 10D till I workout how to shoot them with my 5D.
Oh and this is really a shot in response to the heavy snow we experienced yesterday, I didn't go out to shoot, too busy.
Heck, London has changed since my last visit there about 15 years ago. They got palm trees now? Is this global warming? I'll join the various ladies in liking this shot.
I agree with Dammie on this... had it been I wasnt living in London, I'd probably have assumed this is somewhere in America. Dockland is the place to be, a thriving area at the moment
London does seem to be taking on an international look though, no real individual identity any more.
