Junk bike

Do you remember this bike from shot? Well I have a strong feeling it's the same one. Somehow the tide manages to shift it a bit. It's as if a big fish takes it for a ride when the tide is high. Anyway I haven't posted any unusual shots for a while and looking through the archive I realised that there was this shot I initially didn't know how to process for the photoblog. Since then I've improved my understanding of photo-retouching.

This is the original if you want to see the amount of work I've done to this one and also I haven't put up an original shot as frequently as I used to, so this is a treat for you guys or rather those interested.

Some good stuff on The Streets today

hey jide,

i love this shot. the angle from which you took this shot makes the mud look like cement. therefore, it seems so bizarre for this bicycle to be sticking out of the cement. love the shadow of the tire. the pping is superb. i have been trying to improve my pping. how did you go about improving your skills? i'd appreciate any hints/tips.
Jide Alakija: Sure....what would you like to learn?

Can I share this link with you.

I thought this was deja vu. I remembered the shot as soon as this one opened. Odd how these things end up where they do. I took a shot a while back of a bike hanging on a fence. I like the shadow in this shot a lot. I think it makes the composition. The processing you did looks subtle, very nice.

aah nice shot..!
AMAZING PP work...from what it was to what it is now,
if i would have taken that pic, maybe i would have deleted it and tried a better capture,
now i think i need to keep everything and experiment a LOT more..!
great pic...
I like the simplicity and loneliness in this one. nice shot. Of course, i can't say much about this one seeing as the earlier version of this bike shot is one of my favourite pictures of all time.
