Carnival 2006 #7 : The agony

I'm not in a very creative mood today so I'm only putting up what I can find that's more a statement than a personal portrait. This is a shot that I took just after we had finished going the I think 10 km of the carnival, a dancer taking off her agonising slipper. I really commend women for the amount of pain they put themselves through just to keep up the appearance. I don't think we men can take the pain, or can we?

Streetphone is back but with a twist this time. I've decided not to use my camera phone anylonger as I'm having problems getting it to connect to my laptop. It's now my Black and White Street photography blog. Check it out

Uhm... I'm all about comfort grin I doubt I'd be able to stand a day in those slippers.

Cool shot! Like the framing.
When it comes to dancing in things like high-heals...we men could never do it...nice picture

You speak for yourself Jide. I manage to spend all weekend in a pair of high hee.....erm....nice shot this. You've captured a very ordinary, human moment amongst the flair of the carnival. I like it.

this is a great shot, you've caught the agony well - i can imagine her turning her head away to hide the anguish!

Good capture Jide, the framing particularly appeals to me. Mal
Poor girl, I think we have all been there, new shoes at a wedding, going for a weekend's hiking in the Lake District with new boots...
Ooooh the agony, but the relief taking them off...ahhh now that's almost worth going through all the pain for! A gorgeously expressive shot, and I'm guessing almost no or even no pp?

Composition in photography, is a state of the mind. I liked the way you think and feel about this.
