Top model #1

Today was a really exciting day. I was kidnapped to a Beach far far away to take some photographs for a portfolio. I'm no expert when it comes to model shoots. The model did most of the work in my opinion, I just composed the shot and clicked. It was really exciting and I want to do more of these in the future. Anyway, we've set out some interesting projects which we will do as time goes on. I'll put some on the blog.

I did do quite a bit to this one, but tried to make it look like I didn't.

Check out her work at her website.

P.S. Suby I have a shot for you tomorrow.

I do not give a monkey's about PS, But you had better have her phone number ;-) All the best Mal
Jide Alakija: LOL...Mal, you sure do know how to crack a brother up!
hmmmm great shot, but model's arms look slightly disfigured. So instead of looking at whats she's modelling, we wonder if her arms are about to snap. Cant wait to see the rest of the series!
Jide Alakija: The shot I have for Suby was not from this shoot. It's not even got a person in it. Sorry.

SaraLouis is looking stunning, the shot is very well PPed, Liking the idea behind the shot, however I have a BIG niggle bro, the positioning of the arms, they look sorta funny and looks like they are about to break. Bro you need to pay attention to stuff like this, can make or break a shot. Apart from that, sweet shot. tongue

Dang she is well toned, now this is someone I would love to shoot grin

Suby
Jide Alakija: Hmmm....oh well I'm sure I'll do better next time.

Jide I'm with Suby on this, the arms look bizarre and once noticed can't be forgotten, they spoil what would otherwise be a good photo, sorry....

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I JUST NOTICED THE HANDS TOO!!!! Ouch! (On another note, that scarf should have been away from her body...)

I like the fact that it doesn't look like much PP was done to it.

Corker. Love the lines of the model and the sky works a treat.
I tried my hand at a photoshoot in a camera club on Monday night. Boy was it intimidating. I only took one chance hooked up to the lighting and didn't really know how to direct the model. Got a few good shots though, which will appear on m blog next week hopefully.
This is a great photo btw, love it!

I'm double jointed, so the arms don't bother me. Was does get me, though, is she's wearing my favorite outfit to put on when I go to Wal-mart!! ;O)

I really like how the water and the sky look in this shot, nice work!

She looks so uncomfortable, there's something about the way her arms are placed (particularly the left arm) that makes me think ouch!

You did a good job with the processing.
Great composition - she must be double jointed in the left arm smile

Hi Jide - been checking all the comments. Seems SarahLouise received more comments than the photographer. Shows you have to choose the subject with care, will push you right up the rave chart. About the photo, nice - pitty about the arms, but you have already promised to check next time. Must be quite nice to work with model subjects in this way.

beautiful one jide.....love her pose and sultry expression....she is talented (great site!)....8.25/10
The arms do look strange but it holds your attention on the whole picture well.
Very nice shot as always. Though I think you are using too much sharpen here. The effect is very visible around her. You have a way with the colors that I do like.

Leaning at that angle, she should have been resting back on her elbows. The model may have been more concerned about potential damage to her elbows then the out-come of the photograph. If I’m right, then maybe a few small, strategically positioned, circular tablemats would have helped her relax. Nice model; keep her number as she could come in useful in the future.
lol at the last comment! Wait till you see the ones before of my lying on a rock drenched in salt water, then youll see i wasnt worried about a bit of stone on the elbows!!
lol wait till you see the ones of my lying in a rock drenched in salt water, i don't mind a bit of stone wall!
oops!
So the tablemats are not really necessary (lol). Good for you Sarah. I would, however, love to see some of the other pictures from that seaside session. Maybe Jide could email me one or two samples; the potential for a great shoot was certainly there.

By the way (Sarahlouise) your self-portraits are excellent.
