The Big Man

This ladies and gents is a man that needs no introductions. What can I say about him that hasn't been said? .........One thing I know for sure is that he's is quite a talker! I'm nicked "The Pastor" by very close friends because I talk too much, but I have to give my title to this fella, I've never met someone who has an answer for anything you can think of.

I was sure nice working with this dude on Friday whilse we were at the Design Festival at Bricklane. He sure has the gift of the gab.

Sinem, this portrait is for you (and my shot last night as well of course).

My day: You'll be very glad to hear that I'm feeling a lot better and was able to relax a bit and do a little leisure documentary shooting with Skee this afternoon. I'll be showing some of the shots tomorrow. Thank you all for all the kind wishes, they mean a lot to me.

I quote, 'Gift of the gab? Me not know what you on about.' Yeah right!
Great catch, hey? In every sense!
Jide Alakija: Thanks...I have others so I'm sure he'll be very watchful now. wink
Your picture really captures the essence of "the pastor". I like the background colors behind the gentleman.
Jide Alakija: Thanks.

He really looks mean, isn't it? ;-)
Jide Alakija: His bark is louder than his bite, if you understand what I mean.
its a classic portrait and the background can either enhance or annoy depending on how you look at it or want to use it...
Jide Alakija: Thanks Neil.

I feel sure you could have composed this better so we didn't have the thing in the foreground obstructing our view of the artwork. And how come it's out of focus?

smile Just kidding smile So this is Him eh? Sure is a handsome fella. It must have been shot in some really gloomy conditions from the exif info. Your 5D handles high-iso colour noise very well. Glad to know you're feeling better.
Jide Alakija: It was taken at about 7:30pm in a quite dark part of the city. Yup I was quite gloomy.

Excellent DOF and tones. The background is wild, but from what you say it matches his personality. Nice shot smile
Jide Alakija: Thanks Jon. You know you are right about the background matching the personality there.

Lovely portrait jide. I like how the pink punchdrunk shutterchancer in the background seems to be eyeing off your subject.
Jide Alakija: Thanks Nev. I have another in this style which I would be putting up soon.
Looks like he is getting some really crazy ideas ;-) Cool portrait, love the dof and the vivid backdrop.
Jide Alakija: Thanks Ashish.

You did a nice job on this shot of Suby.

Why I am not surprised to hear that he likes to talk? He seems like the type that has lots to say and a lot of interesting stories to share I'm sure.
Lovely portrait of Suby. Funny, he really looks like his bark is worse than his bite as there's a kindness in his eyes which you captured really well. I'm sure Sinem'll love this picture.

Didn't know you weren't feeling well. Glad to know you're better. Hope you have a blessed week.

This is the most flattering portrait I've seen of our friend Suby! Nice work!

Lookin' good, Suby!

It doesn't surprise me at all that he has the gift of gab.

Great landscape - quite an unusual shot of this famous mountain!

Quivers in boots! I may just delay putting up my people shots now as this is the man who's going to rip them apart!

Very nice work Jide. The skin tones are sublime.
