The return of Soulchild

This image was taken the same time as this other image. No his eyes were not photoshoped like that, the talent was from the sitter in this shot. I only used one light source in this one (my speedlite) actually two including the sun bounced unto his face using a reflector panel, everything else is straightforward in terms of how I've processed it.

I did consider again posting this in colour but thought the monochrome version was stronger. I've decided to include some information about my day in this photoblog from now on so you know more about me and my life as a photoblogger and as the author of Alakija.com

My day: I covered the hardest wedding of my life, I was the only photographer on ground as everyone else was busy. Anyway I got a lot of good stuff (16 Gigs of images!!! - That 5D chew's up your memory card) and had a good time with the bride and groom, now the hard bit continues, editing their pictures, along with the other wedding which I still have to do, boy it's time to employ an assistant for this job.

Oh and Tosin looked absolutely stunning as well, she made her own outfit as she usually does for all her outings. I should really put up a shot of her too sometime.

The S man returns. Did you give him that nickname? Nicely prepared. Man I guess you're now a pro ;-)
hey jide,

wicked shot. this is so completely eerie. i really like the shot in mono. i don't think that the color shot would have worked nearly as well. 16 gigs is simply sick! hope you are enjoying the weekend!

At first glance it did look like you tampered with the eyes. Good thing you pointed that out as onr's still got to closely look to see that it's natural. Good call on the monochrome

You did work really hard at that wedding. At some point, i wished i had a camera to take a picture to show you at work.

Alakija... 16Gb, ouch! it's called being trigger happy.

I saw this chap, yesterday on oxford street lol, nicely rendered smile

If you think 16Gb is a problem then wait till this time next year when you have archived over 3Tb of images lol I'm on my 2nd Tb 10months down the line. Just you wait lol
