I searched hard in my archives to find a suitable shot to go in this series of a man, none good enough, don't ask me why. It sort of makes sense as I was in front with all the dancers majority of whom were ladies, the men were at the back beating the drums.
This for me is the best so far in what it represents. The lady here is the Samba Queen. She's being accompanied by the other Samba dancer with the Yellow wings, the one I posted two days ago. I also love the fact that it has a great composition and the actions of the spectators have been captured too.
I hope you are enjoying the series as I have 4 more to post then off to something else.
Nice shot, you see that black guy with the white sleeveless shirt amongst the crowd? What do you think? I thik he would have made a master shot from where you stand.
Jide Alakija: Interesting though. I was to focussed on the queen that I hardly noticed him.
She gets extra points from me for dancing in those shoes!
Jide Alakija: Thanks Micki.

*SIgh* I am not really a fan of this Caribana series....not doing it for me. The fringes of the tree looks bad, and the camera angle is off...Sorry Jide
Jide Alakija: Oh well you can't win them all. What normally catches your liking if you don't mind me asking?

I like some of most of your shots dont get me wrong...shots you pisted on Aug 15,11,4,2, july 23,22,17,10 etc...But this caribana series is just not doing it for me. JUst like you mentioned earlier you were not YET in tune with your equipment at the time
I actually liked some of the others better, like the one with the dancer in the white and silver. This is very nice though and is a good documentation of the event. I have enjoyed this colorful series.
I think the other two were more impressive. I like the fact you've got the crowd in, and the main subject. But the yellow winged one is getting in the way a bit for me. If she'd been stood 2 feet further back it would have been a cracker.
