Miss Steph

Right! I finally got to do some shooting today, infact the opportunity was given to me. This was a shot for a charity that had to be done this weekend. When I initially processed it I had it done in colour. Again I was in a real dilemma as to which one to post. Anyway I decided on this one as I really liked how the toning in this one worked with the light.

well well well U wanna sell Ur camera. What happened to sentiment? What happened to this was my first SLR I love her a lot? What happened to ur first one huh? Just dump her for the next model with curves, U men make me sick. Let me guess U want a 5D or 1D, so predictable, thinking with ur equipment and not ur heart.
Great shot today though, the whole tilt is very good and adds to the dynamics of the image. Don't sell Ur camera silly man.

Looking lovely in b/w, but the pose is abit cheesy and the model if place towards the lefthand side would have made this good composition into a great one!

Jide I have posted on this image already but it has vanished! To recap I thought this was a superb shot and for me one of your best posts. I love the angle of view and the framing, the processing is as always excellent..

Nice shot but i think you could have cropped a bit more. The pole to the right is a tad distracting but even more so is the bright wall of the building. What did you do for lighting? A bit of fill flash would have helped soften the shadows on her.

I too might have gone for a more dynamic crop, losing some of the right side - but not until i had the talent to actually take a picture like this one. The shallow dof is especially great.

I missed this! WOW!!! And I would have sworn it was taken with the 5D!
How did you process this one? gringrin
Jide Alakija: Not the camera buddy....and most of the 5D shots I've put up haven't been utilising the full capabilities in that I've mainly put up shots in shot in JPEG and not RAW.

As for this shot, well I shot in RAW and used a very good prime lens, also learnt that the best way to convert a colour to BW is using the H/S tool, so I did that this time....also used a reflector to eluminate the face too. Nothing else to it.
