I went for a walk with Tosin this morning and this was the best that I could come up with. The rest weren't very good. This is the next one in the series. Not sure what to call it yet. What do you think?

hey jide,

i like the tone in this shot. it really softens the image. i think that the tone appropriately softens the flower, making it appear extremely delicate and fragile. well done.
I somehow knew this was your work when i saw the thumbnail...hhhmmm, not sure bout what to call it, have to wait for skee huh..sure he'll come up with something...its a great shot jideee..

Ummmm does not hit me in the usual nice place, I just see s blurred over tnned, over softened flower shot. Maybe it's just the fact it takes but a very rare flower shot to do it for me.

What could you have done differently, I DIN'T KNOW. If I knew I would be out there taking the shot. tongue

Am thinking hard...on the one hand it is beautifully framed with a very well positioned flower and im all for the tanning but there doesnt seem to be a preciseness about the shot...no definition if u see what i mean...7/10 from me.... sad
Well, I'm not able to give a rank ! Photo is first of all matter of subjective taste...
I love this shot because of the color processing and the blur wich give an eerie and artistic point of view -> A lot/a lot ;-))

I really like the flower but the light parts of the background don't provide enough contrast for me.
I agree that it may need a bit more contrast, but the selective focusing is lovely, I love how the focus falls off.

I like the colouring on this the white of the petals work and look really good against the brown background.

Don't think there's enough contrast to make a strong monotoned picture, the colour version might have looked better. I think also that the dof is a little bit too shallow. Composition is quite pleasing!

I actually like this quite a lot. The softness is actually pleasing to me after a tough weekend..

i like it - simple but striking, the sepia gives it a really nostalgic feel.

I agree, very nice tonal balance.

p.s. do you have a random ShMood generator in operation?
Jide Alakija: No I don't. Why you ask?
