Portrait Series Part Deux :Tami #2

Here is another really nice portrait of Tami. This was one I did when we did the shoot that produces this shot. Since I did that in mono, I thought I'd put up a colour version this time. Now much to say here so I'll leave it for you to enjoy.

Another one tomorrow.

Interesting composition, the shallow dof f2.8 really works here! The green to the far right really add to the intensity of the red dress.
Jide Alakija: The 5D is a lovely camera init? grin

Nicely done bro, nicely done smile certainly an Alakija shot. Like the composition of this shot, and as Skee says, the green actually adds to this shot. Really digging the PP bro. Loving mono the other shot was, you just proved you can produce a similarly wonderful shot in colour.

Jide Alakija: Thanks man! Really appreciate it.

Yup love the blur and the red! Red is apparently meant to give of an air of confidence.
Jide Alakija: Thanks EE.
Nice dude...The colour works better than the other shot i think...the red really helps..nicccce
Jide Alakija: Yup, I think so too, I did a colour version of the previous but as I mentioned there I was really confused which one to put up. I chose the mono insteat.

Hi Jide...this is the first time I've commented on your blog. I like your work.

This is lovely. The red, the blur, the wind in her hair while the shot was taken, all work well together.....perfect.
Definitely prefer this to the previous monochrome shot.
Jide Alakija: Thanks donchichi. I look forward to more comments from you. The more comments I get the more encouraged I am, no matter how short the comments are they are very appropriate.

that dress really does it ! "Lady in Red" - and works beautifully with the green on the left of course. Also love the wall and the depth of field, all in all really good. I must say I prefer Tami number one though, there is more feeling in it.
Jide Alakija: I prefer the first one myself as I think it's stronger too.

She is stunning...oh my goodness...hey are u in charge of the themes? I have a suggestion for you to create a section for themes so we can see the past themes and the diff pics? Sorry I'm not a shuttterchance-er I know but I've missed a few in the past and I'd have loved to take a look at em...looking fwd to the three one coming soon. smile

Yea so seems like a good way of archiving the themes, problem would probably be sifting out who participated....maybe whoever is gonna put up a pic in the theme should enter into the themes event prior to the day? Dunno..just a thought...

Nice pic again, the colour is so her
Jide Alakija: No I'm not in charge of themes on shutterchance, that would be Asiko. You can see the previous images from themes by typing in the search field the theme number. So if you wanted to see the images from the last theme you simply type "Theme4" in the search field.

Unfortunately you can't do that today as the blog list is currently undergoing a revamp but when it returns that's how you do it.
Could be on a magazine cover, awesome stuff!
Jide Alakija: Thanks Ashish!

Oh boy! When I go start to dey take and process picture like this now!!!
Jide Alakija: I don't know, when? You tell me? Be patient son!
Absolutely stunning! visit ur photoblog all the time but this shot inspired me to comment....the red in her hair, earrings and dress are very catchy and the blurred background allows u to focus on her...
I luv the look in her eyes and the slight pout....adds more character to the photograph...I'm wondering what she is looking at
Jide Alakija: thanks for the visit. She's a natural poser (in a very good way)
