It says here that......

Today was such a hot day and one of the worst days for me too. I had a job to do very early in the morning and was hoping that I'd be back home for noon. I got home for 7pm. Why because my car broke down, call the recovery to sort it out, they told me that my "Starting motor" was faulty and needed to be changed.

They started the car for me and told me to take it to a garage. I was in North London and the garage I use is in South London. By this time it was 3:30pm. No big deal at least the car is moving now. This was just the begining. As I started to move I ended up in the worst traffic ever. I was stuck in it till 5:30pm at which point my fuel tank was now below reserve, yup my tank was virtually empty and I was still in traffic en route to the garage which closes at 6pm. I was not even close. Since I couldn't take the car to the petrol station as the engine could not be stopped I decided to call Tosin to find another garage near by, I was lucky to find one that would sort it out.

When I finally booked the car in guess what? The car started starting again, it was as if the engine wanted to teach me a lesson...for what? Anyway I took two trains home. What a messed up day!

Too hot and too tired to process anything great tonight, though this one took sometime to process properly. It's a shot from Bar beach, Lagos and to those of you wondering where the water is, well lets just say that the trucks are back again fixing the ever encroaching sea, the heap of sand you see is reclaimed land from the ocean floor, beyond it is the ocean.

Now I wonder what the conversation is in this shot? What do you think? I've started it for you.

The guy on the white chair reminds me of OBJ - Nigeria's president and the other guy reminds me of Nuhu Ribadu, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman. The guy on the white chair looks Yoruba and the other guy looks Hausa.
I guess this is a scene where the corrupt guys take over Nigeria and the two main anti-corruption campaigners are hiding out on some beach in West Africa. Sorry, I think of very random stuff when I see pictures.

'dont think because the sand is piled high, you can escape fetching water from the ocean today. those 2 buckets must be filled tonite'
i love this photo. first off the contrast of the man against the sand is simply beautiful.

it says here that....we can hide behind here and they will never find us. relax.
They must be wondering what they are doing there waiting for something to come over the rise.
Nice slice of life picture.
Nice pic ..love the background ..
The man facing the camera said "ol' boy u get N20 make i go chop lunch" and the man sitting down said "bite me".

Lovely colours...his "adire" trousers go beautifully against the sand - Don't think I can better Naijabloke or Feyi's comments which cracked me up.

Not sure what they are discussing. Perhaps news or maybe just a sale at a local store. Either way it sure does look like a sweltering day and my guess is on the beach is a good place to be.

Sorry about your day, man. I hate it when things go wrong with cars. Computers I can fix, cars I can't. I need to find a mechanic who's bad with computers and we can do a trade.

Anyway nice shot. I like the simplicity.

This looks like it was taken in africa or something, but I know its not which is what makes this even better. Good shot and good post processing.
Jide Alakija: Errr...Dude...it was actually taken in Africa! Does that mean it's not special any longer? wink

The colors come out really well. It's a simple pic, but as you keep looking at it, you discover a lot. Wow, I cant believe bar beach is like this! Hope you feel better, days like that can be really annoying smile

Man to Son in chair: "All the travel from Ijero-Ekiti to see Bar Beach and this is what we get,... sand??" It sounds funnier when translated into Ekiti (for the dialect speakers out there!)
