photoblog image Yuck!

If you liked Thursday's image you'll probably like todays if you didn't like it then you'll not like todays.

This was a piece of board that I found on my usual walk along the Thames partially submerged in the river. It's my attempt at developing my abstract work. I know that there are those out there who like this sort of thing. I only wished that they'd leave some supporting comments for them. These people tend to be very very deep on many levels.

Anyway enjoy, I'll have something different tomorrow but I'll be coming back to these types of images soon.

Abstract is a tough thing. I can't say I don't like abstract and I can't say I am a huge fan of it either. Sometimes I like it sometimes I don't.

This has very interesting textures, but it doesn't excite me personally. But that doesn't mean it's either good or bad, it only means that it isn't my thing. Kind of like picking a pair of shoes, just because I don't want them doesn't mean they are bad just not my style.

I've shot abstracts that I didn't really care for that others loved and some that I really liked that people didn't like. What does that mean? It's all a matter of taste.

Me like!! Abstract images tell a story & have more depth- how far off is this interpretation from what you attempted to capture?
As you say 'partially submerged'... soaking up the difference amidst sameness/ tainted. A metaphor for life, one is discoloured floating against the tide of monotony... However, to what extent can you determine what 'mould' you absorb????

Nice texture, well spotted. I like how you kept the lines diagonal too.

Hmmm not much for me,
Now, all I see is a wall.Theres nothing to see its like a pattern.
Ok if that moss there was a bit more prominent or bigger then I'd like it more but for me its just a wall.Although these shots sometime come out well, this not that much. Phil at terrorkitten is master at making walls masterpieces. (I know its a piece of board : read text this time grin) Ok enough complaints and grumpyness from me.

It's not that I don't like it .... I think I just don't "get it" ... smile

I like it technically, I like the colours, I like the lines, I like the bit of moss, but there is a little voice whispering at the back of my head "What is it trying to tell me?"
Jide Alakija: Now that is the question! wink What's the story behind it.
crazy texture!
