You can find Suby's shot here

As of the time I uploaded this photo to be displayed for tomorrow (today now that you are reading it) I had recieved 44 comments of which 28 of those were public so that leaves 16 private comments. Some responded through the public view so I guess that means that half of those who left a comment didn't read the text underneath right?

The reason I was interested was I needed to know what the worth was of the text behind the image, I was just curious. Do you think it was a fair test, I for one don't read the text as I never had the time unless I see an interesting image or one I don't understand, I tend to look at an image more from it's beauty and I have the excuse for being dyslexic too.

This is another image from the archive, at the time I didn't know how to shoot properly and on the same day I took this image, I spent some time recovering the detail from what was actually not a very good image in the first place. I'm quite pleased with it. I didn't want to put up another portrait and I haven't gone out shooting as this Phd writing is really doing it's worst (actually I didn't want to miss the England game).

Crop again is a 16:9

By the way I didn't get the time to process Suby's shot, I'll post a link to it when I do later today.

Alakija man, excuses, come on I was really looking forward to seeing what you where going to come up with. Now you have a head start as you have seen other edits smile

Okay I seem to be lost on your 1st 2 paragraphs? WHAT THE HELL you on about? The Phd getting to you?

Anyway I am really feeling the way you have edited this shot, now that goes to the hesrt of my little exercise. I would probably be able to get this same edit if I tried (but stranglely doubt itsmile )

Can you do me a favour and this once, just post a step by step guide as to how this was edited.

Thanks Bro,
Please do explain your 1st 2 paragraphs smile
Jide Alakija: Step by step? Gosh! That's a lot, I'll see what I can do.

I've uploaded your shot now, comeback and see it here:

Hahah...I like it...I'm back!

Hi Jide,

Thanks for the email conversation yesterday!

Good thing that you dident miss the England game smile If England continue playing that bad you will have no trouble finding time to write your Phd stuff.

The topic for this picture is Malibu, which is a place filled with coconuts?

I read beneath pictures to see if their is a caption that can make me see the picture in another perspective.

So if the text is "off-topic" I need to focus on your picture first, I try to comment, because thats one of the ways you get people to comment. Its a bit different with you - you were the first to comment on my photoblog, and I have been in contact with you ever since.

But from now on I will try to remember that the comment should be on both the picture and any "off-topic".

Have a nice weekend - and remember its not a shame to sit indoors in the nice weather when something as important as the world cup is on.
Jide Alakija: Thanks Jeppe, I must admit, I do have a certain attachment to you blog even though I might not comment all the time, I think it's because it's the first photo blog I commented on when I starting blogging or something and I've gotten to know you better from there.

Thanks for the tips too. We'll contact you via email later.

niceee! are back in africa thank god !
I agree with Suby (just this once)...I'd like to see some step by step guides. I'd really find this useful as I try to get to grips with this wretched software (me, me, me, me, me)
Jide Alakija: I'll see what I can do, step by step is a lot asking. I suggest understanding what the various tools in Photoshop do first as I could confuse you with my techniques.....just kidding! When I get time I'll put a whole walk through up.

Is this bar beach?
Jide Alakija: No, Eleko beach
Great shot, have no clue how you edited it, but then again i never do..Clueless i tell you!!! Good match last night, Gerrards goal was a screamer, Crouch played like shite even though he scored..Sorry thats completely off topic..Reason i brought it up was because I READ THE TEXT..you should do the same..grin
Jide Alakija: Of course I read your text...I think. It's my job to ensure the welfare of all the bloggers on the site. You can imagine how much work I do on shutterchance.

Crouch is only there to head the balls in I don't think we expect more than that from him. Gerrard and RonaldiNEO have the power to slow time down. What else can I say. Remember this is only the first round, tougher opposition in the next round.

I'll put up a walk through for my next shot. I hope I find the time.

Great shot! I really like this and would favor it as a vacation shot that I would hang on the wall.
Need to be readed.

i love the selective focus, the angle and the colour... would like it even better without the person in the background, but that is being picky wink
