Nice idea, infact it's not ideas you are lacking, just more work on how to properly execute them. Keep it up... you will get there.

With shots like this, the angle of the shot is very important, here I don't think you position yourself in the right angle and as such I can't really see any "unity" in the composition. It is however a very brave attempt.
Interesting idea indeed! wink
i like the composition and framing here...great capture
Doth it stun you?Tis true Tis true - great shot devoid of photoshop!Lovely shot great lighting - have to admit that your post processed shots are better but this comes close enough for me.Great shot! smile

Very nice shot! I like the fact, that you concentrated on the shadow instead of the singer. I personally would have cropped the picture differently so that you cannot see the few pixels of the man's jacket at all (then the picture would also have to be slightly tilted to preserve enough of his face) or I would have shown even more of the jacket.

Good shot, got an interesting idea going here, but personally I would have shifted the frame to the right to crop some of the plain shadow area and include more of the performer.
Amazing shot. Would have liked to see a little more of the man

Indeed great idea. I dunno about the crop, I think it's fine the way it is. Should also be a good shot in B&W I think.

I may be in the minority here, but I think there's enough of the singer in view. I see what Mr Skee means about unity - a slight move to your right would have brought singer and shadow closer together - but for me this isn't a problem.

What I would like to have seen, though, is a bit more of the shadow, especially of the left hand instead of it disappearing into the dark recesses on the left of frame.

A very bold shot to almost only include the shadow from the singer, but I like bold and dynamic.
Nice effect on shadow
