Grab it!

A different type of image today and one for laughs especially for us Africans. I'll look for something good to shoot this weekend. I haven't done it for a while now.

Have a good weekend.

Post processing: S-curve, increase in Dynamic range, brown toning layer.

takes me back. I even might have broken a tooth once. I like how the hand in the frame is sort of indicating "are you really sure about this..." On the whole liking it more than not.

Great capture.
Guys in American Samoa could do this too. I don't have that strong of teeth. Except they weren't opening up Coke bottles, they were opening up Vailima beer bottles. Nice snapshot.

That blurry crops in the background is very nice - although I don't like the character that much - his eye is very zombie like wink

Ouch! I remember chipping a tooth doing this very thing. Nice shot though. I love the hand in the corner, a slow motion 'Nooooooooooooo' comes to mind smile

Great timing! And I agree: his eye does indeed look quite red. It always send chills down my spine when one of my friends does this. I am not much over 5 feet tall and glad if I can open anything the regular way ;-).
Ever since the plastic bottles for cola and twist tops on beer have come, sights like this have becoem very rare. I know a friend of mine who used to open beer bottles with a "kada"( a metalic ring he used to wear around his wrist). Great shot.

Aaeeeeeyyy! This makes me wince the same way fingernails on a blackboard make some people wince. I love this guys hands though - great shape and they look very strong.

I'd like to have seen a little more light on his face and hands though, and the thumb in the lower left corner is either distracting or very clever. If it's the partner to the other hand on the right, how on earth did you get the picture???

Expressive pic. I do that from time to time. Very bad habit. Don't do it at home!

Ouch ouch, ouch & ouch, my sister & her husband are dental surgeons and they would have a fit if they saw this image. I like the capture, to me the facial grimace is priceless, looks like the the hand from the right is saying "noooooooo, not with your teeth" (eeeek creepy, just read that EOS Chaos thought the same smile )

Not sure if the thumb bottom left enhances or distracts in this image. Ummmmmmm, not sure.

Yup, how did you get this picture?

Good capture bro.

Just to add to my former.comment: The story I see from the pic for me is that the dude took the bottle from the person with the hand in the frame saying *Let me show u how this is done* and then the person with the hand is motioning saying be careful, you might just become toothless. Nice work bro..aint no better image to round off the week.smilesmile

LOL! Like this image a lot. The dude looks like 'naaaaah mayte, you aint getting it off me! If i open it, I keep it. We are on the frigging beach for goodness sakes, I am parched and in no mood to negotiate. Now back up off me before I make you swallow the bottle top!' lol

I happen to be highly skilled at this, shame it's not something I can put on a resume or take to the bank. If therz ever a house party and the line to the kitchen or nearest opener is too far, I'll be there in a flash, just call me "superfrajalisticanopener"

ps.- Suby, I can also open bottles with doors, table tops and all manner or random objects just so my teeth get a break every now and again grin
