Park Guard

I didn't know what to call this one and I didn't know the name of the statue. It's on if the ones in Hyde Park, Kensington London not far from my college. I've not taken many landscape images in a while and so this one would have to start some of the new ones I'll be showing you over the next few days. Landscape is not my strength so please go easy on me.

I like the concept, i think it still needs a little work in something (not sure). Is it a silhouette or not? Good effort.

I kinda like it....it would look great on a very large frame cos its got that majestic feel to it

Definitely caught my attention as soon as it came up on my screen (i'd got accustomed to a certain style from u!)

I actually like this a lot... love the way the sun is captured between the legs, and how this appears to block the rest of the sky from its rays.

Also got a thing for perspective!

Very nice Jide...

Not enough to be a silhouette, and not enough to be otherwise!
However it is "enough" to be deemed a piece of "Art"

Hmm... deliberate flaring of a 17-40L. Very creative, though I would have done more photoshop to it (unfortunately I have to agree with Remi today).

It's .....okayish,

Don't like the silhouette, love the light. As I keep looking at the picture, I can see the words "step into the light" flashing at me. Spooky. smile

Okay just for the record, I was not trying to do a silhouette with the statue, the colour of the statue is black and on my screen I can see some texture on the surface.

I was only trying to show the shear size of the statue. I guess as you say Skee it's art which is in the eye of the beholder.

Thanks for the comments.
