Need a drink?

I'll be quite interested to see what you think about this shot. I haven't done that much processing to it other than making it more vibrant than it was originally. On another topic, I get about 200+ people hitting the site on a daily basis but only an avarege of 5 people leave comments. Now can anyone of you offer any reasons as to why you leave comments and also why you don't. By the way I'm only curious as is the photographer I am. Notice to those who I've never ever gotten a comment, why don't you leave one for me this time, at least just so I know you are happy. Also remember leaving comments helps me improve my style and better present to you too. Okay nuff said there.....I have a lot more interesting stuff for tomorrow and the rest of the week.

Well I'll be darned. Can't believe no one's left a comment here, especially after you specifically requested it. This is really my sort of thing (as you may know by now), so I like it. I tend to look for diagonals and triangles and you have them here.

Why am I here now? I'm just reviewing archives as I was minorly piqued by a gentle comment about my 'sameness', so thought I'd look for inspiration among the great and the good to see how diverse others were.

Why comments (or not)? I leave comments if I think I can add something useful without damaging a potentially fragile ego. If I sense the photographer can stand it, I'll offer what I hope is constructive criticism, or praise it if in my untutored eye I think it deserves it. Always my aim is to encourage. I would hate to think I ever discouraged anyone.

If I don't leave a comment it's because I don't feel qualified to make a constructive comment on that particular image, or I simply don't have the time, since I'm usually at work when I review them.

I'm particularly keen not to 'Flickrise' and simply leave praise or nothing, and I'm always keen to encourage newcomers and real triers of whatever capability.

I hope this helps. Sorry if it's way overdue.
