Prayful currents

The Celestian church are quite prominent with their members along the coast of Lagos. They perform their spiritual worship along Bar beach in Lagos. This was a shot I took during the summer, I never dare to speak to any of their members whilst they are in the thick of their ceremony but this moment caught my eye. You can see how the prayer leader leads the group in a line in prayer, chanting words I can't hear. What's particularly interesting is the formation to which they are praying. I would have expected them to be standing side by side each other but here they are in a line. I wonder why? Also you will probably notice the patron to the far left talking to one of the members. I wonder if he is the bold one in this case. Now I wonder what I can tell you tomorrow..

I like the darkness of the sky, it's as if the prayers are causing some kind of spiritual war that can't be seen but can certainly be felt in the air.
